Better 90210 Season 1 intro?

or

It's still missing the chest pound noise but changing the 90210 theme saved the show IMO. Also how rad is Scott's Magic Johnson t-shirt living a life with Magic Johnson shirts and Laker hats, how could that dude off himself accidentally?

Saturday Sharing (12/26/09 - Best of the year edition)

Shirtless Biden Washes Trans Am In White House Driveway: VP, Joe Biden parks his '81 Trans Am in the drive way of the White House and spends his afternoon sipping beer, washing his car, and pretty much being the coolest VP since well, Coolidge. (via The Onion)

Just when Keyboard Cat is absurd enough: Keyboard cat playing off Helen Hunt in an after school special concerning what happens when you do PCP and before you know it, Hall And Oates join KBC in a rendition of You Make My Dreams with the Cat on keys. It's so good that when I relaunched OAB, this was the first post, huzzah. (via Videogum)

The slap heard round Kenny's apartment: So it's been over a year since I won the first slap bet with everyone's friend, Dennis. It's been almost a year since I slapped him last New Year's. It's been about 10 months since Dennis won a slap over me and used it like 2 minutes later. It's been 6 months and change since I won a slap bet over Dennis and have been holding it ever since. So when's the slap coming? Sooner or later... (via Dennis Money Mania)

Johnny Laugh: One of the better things I did this year was purchasing The Room on DVD and it only took several months of convincing certain friends to watch it so we can share in the inane amount of quoting that seems to happen since everyone's seen Tommy Wiseau's classic "black comedy."

The Jersey Shore trailer: Still can't believe this is real...

Lost: The Sitcom: As awesome and creepy as the Lost intro is, what if Lost had a traditional 1990's sitcom open ala Family Matters? Step by Step and Full House versions also available but the Season 3/Family Matters open is the best just for Ben and Desmond.

Sterogum and Team 9 present MySplice Vol 4

Spent this Christmas eve afternoon off from work, digging out old records so I scored a bunch of old things for free (some of the better finds include Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska and Lionel Ritchie's Can't Slow Down) but the biggest score of the day is Stereogum's yearly X-Mas treat with Team 9, MySplice Vol 4. Haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet but I'm guessing it's awesome. Listen to it above, and after that go and download from Stereogum.

The REAL Situation? I think we have a situation on our hands

(via Animal New York)

What if this whole Jersey Shore is just one big goof on America? What if Snookie, Paulie D, and the Situation were just actors? What if the Situation really wore glasses and wandered around the shore with blurry vision? What if Paulie had an European accent of sorts? Ponder these and lots of other "what ifs" while watching the above, you guys.

Rent-a-Snooki/There's a Situation on Twitter: Things to do in 2010 - rent out Snooki for an occasion (possibly a bachelor party or even a wedding reception) and keep up on The Situation's live tweeting of The Jersey Shore on Thursday nights. I said it earlier in the week but can you believe there was a time in our lives (like early November 2009) that we didn't have The Situation, Snooki, Paulie D, Ronnie, J-Woww, Sammy Sweatheart in our lives? Oh yeah and Vinnie too but he seems to disappear for episodes at a time where you see him dancing for a bit and that's about it. (via NYC Blog/Situation's Twitter)

Talk about your wild stallions: "Cops caught an 18-year-old suspected of getting it on with horses at the Goshen Historic Track in Orange County. After a six-month sting, investigators used surveillance footage to nab Erick Rivera, who was hit with multiple charges for sexual misconduct with an animal and burglary at the Hudson Valley harness track. The teen allegedly left his rented room near the track and crept into the unlocked stables after midnight at least a dozen times. Officials became suspicious in July when "they found the fillies bridled and immobilized in their stalls during morning checks." No words. (via Gothamist)

Play that song from Pitchfork, mannnnnnn: Saw Neon Indian with Afif the other night, didn't have any huge expectations going in and I must say that they were quite good. Also in what is only a hipster television moment, some "bro" in the crowd shouts "play that song from Pitchfork" and they go on to play Deadbeat Summer. (via Brooklyn Vegan)

Totally depressed about living in the nation's most depressed state: According to a recent study, New York is the most depressing state to live in which is in fact very depressing. (via Sarah Spy)

Your 2009 Buffalo Bills and their head coach, Kris Kringle: Apparently, former Buffalo Bills head coach, Dick Jauron was photoshopped out of the Bills team photo after he was canned in November and while we though Perry Fewell was the interim head coach, Santa Claus seems to have taken Dick's spot in the team's photo for the Bills X-mas photo. (via Deadspin)

12 Days of X-Mas @ OAB: DAY 5 - Alvin And The Chipmunks

A Chipmunk Christmas is an animated christmas television special based on characters from Alvin and the Chipmunks. It aired on the NBC television network in 1981, nine years after the death of Alvin and the Chipmunks creator Ross Bagdasarian, Sr. (also known as David Seville). This was the first time that Alvin, Simon and David Seville were voiced by Ross Bagdasarian, Jr. and the first time that Theodore was voiced by Janice Karman.

12 Days of X-Mas @ OAB: DAY 4 - Julian Casablancas - I Wish It Was Christmas Today

Julian Casablancas covers the SNL quartett of Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan, Jimmy Fallon, and Horatio Sanz's holiday classic, I Wish It Was Christmas Today. It's a total jam and one day, this song will be played in malls across of America while we do our holiday shopping in like 2035.

Dracula's Lament on The Late Late Show

In honor of the show's 1000th, Jason Segal appears on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and preforms a sped up, "r out with your c out" version of everyone's favorite puppet dracula opus, Dracula's Lament from 2008's Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Italian American Whatever Whatever

Oh Snookie, I hope you stick around forever (or at least till when the world ends in2012). Her and The Sit(uation) were also Conan so watch that too! Come on join in on my ever growing obsession with these fine upstanding young Italian Americans, you know you want too.

12 Days of X-Mas @ OAB: DAY 3 - Arrested Development - S1E7 - In God We Trust

Tobias: Oh, give me the suit. Give me the suit.

George Michael: I’m actually wearing it right now, but I can’t tell you why.

Tobias: You’re wearing it right now?

George Michael: I have to wear it all the time. You... you’d never understand.

Tobias: Oh, please, I’ll never un...? I’ll never understand? That you can never be nude? I understand more than you’ll... never know.

George Michael: Yikes.
?

The first Christmas episode of Arrested Development, In God We Trust in which we learn of Tobias Funke's never nude disorder.

No lie, I would travel to Kuwait for Shake Shack

The deliberate pace of expansion hardly seems to suggest a world-domination strategy, nevertheless a global future is in Mr. Meyer’s sights. Next year Shake Shack plans to plant its standard in Kuwait — way beyond its well-worn subway stops.

Mr. Swinghamer said the Shack in Kuwait will be managed by Alshaya, a local company that handles 50 brands in the Middle East, including Starbucks, Dean & DeLuca and Le Pain Quotidien.

(via NYT)

New Shake Shacks coming to Nolita, Upper East Side, Theater District in New York, Miami Beach, Flordia, AND Kuwait City, Kuwait in the next year. Yes, Kuwait City, Kuwait - I love globalization.

12 Days of X-Mas @ OAB: DAY 2 - Macy's Letters to Santa
